Dutch Lamons is currently a sophomore attending Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, where he studies communications.Corona del Mar, CaliforniaAt 6 feet tall and 195 pounds, Dutch Lamons was a force to be reckoned with while on the Corona del Mar High School football team. He played middle linebacker and fullback, ran the 40 in 4.75 seconds, bench-pressed 270 pounds, and squat-pressed 320 pounds. Year after year, he earned recognition and awards for his athletic prowess, being named Team Captain and Defensive Squad Captain. His additional football accolades included Defensive Player of the Game, Most Tackles for the Season, Defensive Player of the Year, Daily Pilot Player of the Week, All League Honors, and a Coaches Award. In addition to his superstar football career, Dutch Lamons also played Junior Varsity volleyball, serving as Team Captain and winning All Tournament Player of the Day. Dutch Lamons played hard and worked hard in high school. In 2007, he won the Scholar Athlete Award for maintaining a GPA of 3.8 during football season. During the summers, he made the most of his time off from school, with activities such as attending football training camp, traveling to Hawaii, entering Nationals Competition for junior lifeguards, and bringing home a gold medal for participating on the swim relay team. Additionally, Dutch Lamons won the Instructor’s Award in the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard competition. Prior to the summer of 2006, Dutch Lamons studied New Zealand and learned much about its history and culture. He even met with government officials to find out more about the country. During the summer, Dutch Lamons traveled to Australia and New Zealand as a People to People Student Ambassador. In 2007, he again attended football training camp, took trips to Mexico and Hawaii, and went wakeboarding at Lake Powell, which borders Utah and Arizona. The summer of 2008 found Dutch Lamons in Lake Tahoe, wakeboarding, and in Pismo Beach, surfing. In addition, he attended football camp and entered a weight lifting competition at the Corona del Mar High School Touchdown Club in Newport Beach, where he won an award for the most squat reps in the Liftathon. Presently, Dutch Lamons attends Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where he is studying communications and working toward his Bachelor of Arts. There, he also plays a host of intramural sports, serves as a lifeguard, holds membership in the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and devotes time to various philanthropic and charitable organizations.
