Earthen Johnson graduated from the University of Virginia in 2004 with a double major in History and American Studies. During her time there she participated in Resident Staff, First Year Seminar, and was a managing board member of Corks and Curls (Yearbook). She was also actively involved in the Greek system as a sister in Chi Omega sorority, the Vice-president of the Order of Omega, and a member of Phi Sigma Pi (the Honor Fraternity). After graduating, Earthen soon became a third grade teacher in Camden, NJ, through the Teach for America program. Since being in Camden, she has purchased a house and received a grant to start a citywide mentoring program for “high risk” girls ages 10 to 16. Whilst preparing for the LSAT and law school, she continues to work for Teach for America until her two-year commitment is complete.
