Eddie Dovner grew up in Massachusetts on a farm south of Boston, where he spent much of his time before and after school doing chores. During the summers, while his friends were playing or going away to camp, Dovner continued to help on the farm. Though he may have envied his classmates who did not have to work so hard, he now realizes that these experiences helped shape him into the ambitious and successful man he is today. After he graduated college, Eddie Dovner drove to Miami, Florida, and found a job as a cabana boy at The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa. At the hotel, Dovner met many successful and interesting people, gaining insight and learning many invaluable lessons. After three years in that role, Eddie Dovner gained employment as a Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Sales Agent. Despite his young age, Dovner became the leading rookie on the sales team, winning awards and attending the leader’s conference. After garnering sales experience, Eddie Dovner decided to open an honor snack business, a company that flourished under his management. He later sold it and established a gourmet coffee roasting business called Northeast Gourmet Coffee. One of the first companies of its kind on the East Coast, Northeast Gourmet Coffee roasted, packed, and distributed coffee beans to businesses all over the region. After developing the start-up into a successful enterprise, Eddie Dovner sold it. Since then, Eddie Dovner has founded First Choice Armor & Equipment, Inc. in Braintree, Massachusetts. More recently, Eddie Dovner established a line of portable fitness equipment. The first product will be launched in 2011 with a series of infomercials, and four more pieces of equipment will follow. The portable fitness equipment allows individuals to travel with a mini-gym that will enable them to get a complete workout while on the road. Dovner also invented a new product called Bike in the Air, which provides a new way to store bikes.
