Elaine Hochberg currently contributes as Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President of Marketing for Forest Laboratories Inc. She has total marketing and sales responsibility for Forest’s promoted and development stage products. In this capacity, Ms. Hochberg oversees four different commercial functions at the corporate headquarters: Product Management, Market Research, Commercial Assessments/Planning, and Managed Care Operations & Government Policy. Elaine Hochberg also oversees the promotional activities of Forest’s 2,800 person sales force. She assumed oversight for the primary care and specialty sales divisions when she was promoted to her present role in 2010. Prior to beginning her current commercialization duties, Elaine Hochberg performed successfully as Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Hochberg has contributed significantly to the overall sales and commercialization success of Forest products. As a Senior Vice President, she was responsible for the early commercialization assessment as well as effective commercialization strategies for new products. As a result of her exhaustive global market research and effective advertising strategies, Elaine Hochberg played a pivotal role in the tremendous early success of the antidepressant medication Lexapro, whose sales have increased significantly since the drug’s launch. Lexapro’s sales now account for more than 70 percent of the company’s total revenue. In addition, Ms. Hochberg oversaw the development of marketing campaigns for Celexa, another antidepressant.

Previously, Elaine Hochberg served as Vice President of Marketing of Forest Laboratories Inc. and Vice President of Marketing of Forest Pharmaceuticals Inc., a subsidiary of Forest Laboratories. Prior to joining the sales and marketing professionals at Forest Laboratories Inc., Elaine Hochberg delivered outstanding results for Wyeth-Lederle Laboratories (now part of Pfizer Inc.) as the company’s Assistant Vice President of Marketing.
