Dr. Eliana Schenk was born and raised in California’s San Gabriel Valley before attending the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. After completing her medical degree, Dr. Schenk earned a residency position at Baylor College of Medicine, where she studied internal medicine in detail. Having finished her residency, Dr. Schenk accepted a fellowship in endocrinology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. A member of The Endocrine Society, Dr. Eliana Schenk holds Board Certification in Internal Medicine as well as endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

Dr. Schenk currently serves as the Lead Physician in the Department of Endocrinology at Lakeside Community Healthcare, a large group practice in Glendale, California. Since July 2009, when she completed her fellowship, Dr. Eliana Schenk has overseen the office, maximizing efficiency, improving quality of care for patients, and ensuring a pleasant patient experience. Dr. Schenk also treats a wide range of patients, including those struggling with managing diabetes, thyroid disorders, and complications of obesity. She puts a special emphasis on medical management of diabetes through a variety of measures, including the insulin pump. Dr. Eliana Schenk is trained in a special, intensive weight-loss program geared towards patients with serious complications of obesity.

In addition to her work as a physician and administrator, Dr. Eliana Schenk serves on the practice’s Quality Management Committee. She maintains physician privileges at several local hospitals.

In her free time, Dr. Schenk enjoys cooking, learning new languages, and traveling around the world. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
