New York City real estate entrepreneur Mr. Elie Hirschfeld serves as CEO and President of Hirschfeld Properties LLC. Joining the family business in 1976, Elie Hirschfeld continued to expand the portfolio of Hirschfeld Properties, which was founded by his father Abraham Hirschfeld in the 1950s. Today, Elie Hirschfeld oversees management of approximately one thousand of Hirschfeld Properties’ apartments and more than one million square feet of commercial space. In his current position, Elie Hirschfeld spearheads real estate development planning and execution for one of New York City’s most recognized realty firms. Under the guidance of Elie Hirschfeld and his father before him, Hirschfeld Properties has developed some of the city’s most distinguished properties, including the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, Park Avenue Court, and the Gotham and Exchange Tower. During his long history at Hirschfeld Properties, Elie Hirschfeld has aligned the real estate firm with prominent property developers like the Trump Organization, the Zeckendorf Organization, Empire Realty Group, the Silverstein Organization, and the Simon Property Group. One of Elie Hirschfeld’s notable contributions to Hirschfeld Properties was supervision of the historic Hotel Pennsylvania redevelopment project, which brought the first Sports Authority retail store to New York City. Mr. Elie Hirschfeld earned his Bachelor’s degree in Math and Economics from Brown University, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1971. While a student at Brown, Elie Hirschfeld served as student body president for his class; worked as President of Hillel, a Jewish student group; and joined the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. In 1974, Elie Hirschfeld received his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. Prior to joining Hirschfeld Properties, Elie Hirschfeld worked as an attorney at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, an international law firm in Manhattan. While at the firm, Elie Hirschfeld concentrated his practice in real estate, finance, and banking law, serving such clients as Chase Manhattan Bank (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.), Rockefeller Center, the New York Stock Exchange, and Saint Peter’s Church.
