Elise Cece has effectively positioned herself to work as an attorney in the New Jersey and New York areas, having passed the bar exam in both states in February 2011. Elise Cece attended Brooklyn Law School in New York and earned her law degree in October 2010. While there, she received the Lisle Merit Scholarship and the Academic Achievement Award. As she studied law, Ms. Cece also completed the Master of Business Administration program at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business at The City University of New York. Elise Cece acquired her interest in business while studying for her Bachelor of Science in Finance, which she earned from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey’s Business School in 2006. There, she also received exemplary grades and placed on the dean’s list for her last two years.

While Elise Cece pursued her academic credentials, she also worked as a law clerk and legal intern. In the summers of 2006 and 2008, she worked as a Legal Intern for the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office in Totowa, New Jersey. There, she gained valuable experience researching and drafting legal briefs, investigating financial records, and assisting prosecutors with witness interviews and jury selection. She corresponded with victims and helped build a case against a crime ring practicing credit card, insurance, and bank fraud. Elise Cece’s time at the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office familiarized her with working in a public arena.

Elise Cece also possesses clerking experience for a private law firm. She interned at the law offices of Hagan, Coury & Associates from June 2007 until May 2008. In this position, she reviewed contracts and lease agreements, assisted in legal proceedings, and researched and investigated the corporate filings of companies.

During her free time, Elise Cece enjoys competing in triathlons and working as a snowboard instructor.
