Supreme Secretary, Knights of ColumbusNew Haven, ConnecticutNew Haven, Connecticut, resident Emilio Moure immigrated to the United States when he was 11. He attended California State University, Long Beach, where he majored in Accounting and received his Bachelor of Business Administration. He next enrolled in the University of La Vern, where he earned his Master of Business Administration with a focus on executive management. Following his academic pursuits, Emilio Moure joined Emerson Electric Company, where he served for 23 years in various roles, including senior management positions in the company’s domestic and international locations in the areas of operations, marketing, accounting, and general management. In 1985, Emilio Moure joined the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal benefit society established by assistant pastor of New Haven’s St. Mary’s Church Father Michael J. McGivney in 1982. Based on the principles of unity, charity, and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus provides financial aid to ill and needy members and their families and promotes educational and social programs for members in the form of charitable, religious, war relief, and social welfare works. Emilio Moure held membership in the James Cardinal McIntyre Council 6332 and California’s Santiago de Compostela Assembly 2305. Emilio Moure served as State Deputy from 2006 to 2007 and also was named to the Supreme Knight’s Circle of Honor, a designation that recognizes state deputies who achieve 100 or more percent of their intake quota during the year. During his tenure as State Deputy of California, Emilio Moure was chosen to sit on the Knights of Columbus Board of Directors, and the next year he became an Executive Vice President of Business Process Management in the organization’s New Haven headquarters. In 2009, Emilio Moure assumed the position of Supreme Secretary, a position in which he took responsibility for a variety of the Supreme Council office’s administrative departments. Aside from his work with the Knights of Columbus, Emilio Moure sat on the board of directors for Mexico City’s television station KWTV, a position in which he aimed to create a positive alternative for Mexican market television. In addition, he served on the board of director s for the National Fraternal Congress of America, an organization that serves as an advocate of the fraternal insurance industry and represents more than 10 million members of 65 different societies in Canada and the United States.
