The founder and sole proprietor of the Law Office of Enrique Arevalo in South Pasadena, California, Enrique Arevalo specializes in nationality and immigration law. Employing five attorneys, five paralegals, three administrators, and two receptionists, Mr. Arevalo accepts cases on citizenship, deportation, adjustment of status, political asylum, the naturalization process, and related issues. In this capacity, he represents clients in court and at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and other immigration hearings. Since opening his law firm in 1984, Enrique Arevalo has received numerous awards, such as the Outstanding Community Service Award from the Central American Resource Center and the Cruz Reynoso Community Service Award bestowed by the Mexican American Bar Association. He garnered the Professional Merit Award from La Voz de Michoacán newspaper in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, as well as the U.S. Attorney General’s Award for Meritorious Public Service. In addition, the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California recognized Enrique Arevalo with a Golden Microphone Award in the Best Television News Broadcast of 30 Minutes or Less category for a segment entitled “Casos y Cosas de Immigración.” The Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles has made Enrique Arevalo a Designated Legal Consultant on immigration issues. A longtime member and former President of the Mexican American Bar Association, he co-founded the organization’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service and remains active on its Immigration Committee. He also belongs to the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the State Bar of Montana, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. In the community service arena, Enrique Arevalo assists the immigration forum community outreach program on KWHY-TV, the Central American Resource Center, and the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Southern California. Enrique Arevalo received a Bachelor of Arts in History from California State University, Los Angeles. At the Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California, he completed a Juris Doctor. He has shared his expertise on immigration law on the radio at KTNQ and serves as a legal commentator on the Telemundo television network. A former marathon runner, Enrique Arevalo remains active; he enjoys hiking, skiing, and playing golf and tennis. In quieter moments, he takes pleasure in watching foreign movies and following the news.
