Banking consultant Ervil Spencer became a CPA after successfully completing his state exam in 1990 and graduating that year from Pace University, where he received a BBA in less than three years and ranked third in his class. Since then, he has developed a track record in advising clients on financing transactions in business services, media, and communications sectors. Presently, Ervil Spencer works as an independent banking professional in New York, pursuing advisory assignments with private equity and corporate clients.

Ervil Spencer developed his expertise through a series of highly successful positions with international firms offering financial services. In 2007, as Director of Investment Banking with New York-based TD Securities, Ervil Spencer focused on strengthening relationships with clients by advising them on financing potential acquisitions and providing analyses to measure the outcome of asset divestitures. He was successful in creating a strong pipeline of financing business with private equity and corporate clients for the firm.

Ervil Spencer’s affiliation with TD Securities began in 1995, when he joined them for the first time to work in its High Yield Originations Group. His duties included originating and executing high yield bond deals and liability management assignments. Over time, he was promoted to Vice President, and his efforts helped raised over $12 billion in capital for clients. Additionally, Ervil Spencer was responsible for training his associates and other TD Securities analysts and associates.

In 2003, Ervil Spencer led his career in another direction, joining Pace University as an Assistant Professor. Spencer taught courses in financial, managerial, cost, and intermediate accounting, developing course reviews and exams for undergraduate students. During this time, he also founded CS Financial Advisors in Montclair, New Jersey, offering tax consulting services to U.S. non-residents. Ervil Spencer divided his time between instructing courses at Pace University and operating his business before rejoining TD Securities in 2007.

Outside his professional duties, Ervil Spencer enjoys playing soccer and actively fulfilling his membership with the Financial Executives Networking Group. He also provides volunteer consulting services to community organizations and has served on the Accounting Department’s Advisory Board at Pace University’s Lubin School of Business.
