Evan Williams is a web entrepreneur best known as the Founder of Blogger, Odeo, and Twitter. Though born in the midwest, Evan moved out to the Bay Area to work for O’Reily before starting in on his first company, Pyra Labs. His first product eventually spun off as Blogger, one of the web’s first applications for managing blogs. Blogger was eventually acquired by Google in early 2003.

After taking some time off, Evan got on the podcasting train with friend Biz Stone to found Odeo. The company quickly raised a substantial funding round, but when Evan and Biz lost interest in Odeo due to a new product (Twitter), they founded Obvious Corp and acquired both products from their investors. And once Twitter took off, they spun it into a separate company and recently closed their third funding round.
