For years, Florence Stasch has held a deeply rooted interest in environmental conservation and protection and has become involved in an array of eco-friendly organizations, including The Nature Conservancy. Guided by the research of more than 550 scientists, The Nature Conservancy works to protect natural habitats in the United States and more than 33 other nations worldwide. Florence Stasch also supports Defenders of Wildlife, the World Wildlife Fund, and Surfrider Foundation, an organization committed to the protection of oceans and shorelines around the globe.

Florence Stasch graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Education from Oregon State University in 1967. She now works as a Sales Associate for Roger’s Gardens in Corona del Mar, California. A home and garden center founded in 1965 by Roger McKinnon, Roger’s Gardens sells a vast array of plants, home decorations, landscaping materials, holiday fixtures, pottery, and fountains. The store’s nursery features the most extensive collection of roses in Southern California, some of which are exclusive to the shop. During the winter-holiday months, Florence Stasch works in the store’s Home Gallery, a 5,000-square-foot showroom that offers customers a wide variety of Christmas-themed decorations and ornaments. During her time there, Florence Stasch has developed a loyal customer base.

Outside of work, Florence Stasch enjoys outdoor activities, such as jogging, kayaking, running, hiking, and gardening. She also likes to paint and read; some of Florence Stasch’s favorite authors are F. Scott Fitzgerald, Walter Mosley, and Jane Austin.
