Frank Tarsia is a graduate of Long Island University’s CW Post campus, an institution he attended after earning academic and athletic football scholarships. Self-financing his way through college, Frank Tarsia played wide receiver on the football team and was selected as a starter every year of his college career. Moreover, Frank Tarsia did not sacrifice his academic integrity despite the pressures of extracurricular activities. Instead, Frank Tarsia earned a position on the Dean’s List, garnered an Academic Performance Award, maintained membership in the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society, and completed his undergraduate coursework with a 3.75 GPA. Entering into the professional world, Frank Tarsia utilized his natural intelligence and sense of determination to excel as a medical sales representative. In his career pursuits, Frank Tarsia has worked with world-renowned surgeons in the laparoscopic, general colorectal, cardiac, thorasic, OB/GYN, and oncology fields. In the past 16 years, Frank Tarsia trained hundreds of bariatric surgeons in gastric bypass and lap band surgery, also instructing doctors and residents regarding the proper implementation of innovative technology not yet on the market. Currently, Frank Tarsia is promoting a pioneering, minimally invasive form of single incision laparoscopic surgery. In his spare time, Frank Tarsia devotes his energy to Stray from the Heart, a canine rescue organization that fosters pitbulls and other breeds removed from difficult home situations. Frank Tarsia enjoys spending time with his two golden labradoodles.
