Frederick Achom, who currently serves as the chairman of Rosemont Group Companies, is a successful entrepreneur who invests in a variety of industries worldwide. Rosemont Group of Companies, one of the privately held companies that he has established, deals in luxury consumer items. His investments and business ventures run the gamut from acquiring stakes in a leading winery to avant-garde restaurants to large land development projects. Whatever he does, he puts his whole heart into it, under his personal motto, “to focus on what you’re doing – and to be authentic and individual”.

Rosemont Group Companies

As part of the consumer goods industry, the Rosemont Group of Companies supplies high-end luxury items to the international consumer market. Frederick Achom established the firm, based in the British Virgin Islands, in 2003. Since that time he has penetrated the consumer goods market with elegant kitchens made in Italy, fancy restaurants, upscale property and land developments in the UK and members-only clubs. He also entered the service industry with sales and marketing services, recruitment centers in western Africa, telecom sales and an international property investment and consultation service. With a value of $30 million in today’s market, Rosemont Group of Companies continues to seek opportunities for profitable investments. One of the newest additions to the list of invested companies is a large Australian winery, and Rosemont Group is now negotiating to buy a 50% share in the chain of UK restaurants, Bennets. When that deal is signed and sealed, Frederick Achom will relaunch it globally. Building on the restaurant theme, he also is in the final planning stages of a brand new restaurant concept that he plans to implement in Los Angeles, California. The new concept, backed by several big name Hollywood celebrities, is scheduled to open in the beginning of 2011.

Education and Business Background

Frederick Achom was born in Nigeria but was sent to England for an education in private schools. He returned to Nigeria after his studies were completed in order to enter medical school. He studied for a year and a half before he dropped his studies to return to London, where he trained to be a financial sales consultant. While working in this field he represented several companies that were based in London. During that time he began to create businesses on his own and ultimately sold one of them, a business consultation and development firm, to the London business, EGC. Achom’s string of investments in land and property eventually prompted him to diversify into the realm of sales and consultation. In addition, he is a shareholder in numerous companies including Hanover Bars Ltd, Universal Properties Ltd, Caseflight Ltd, Night Management Ltd and Property Clinic.

Five years ago Frederick Achom partnered with Circle Management Group to establish Crystal, a private members club. The club opened in several major international cities.
