A seasoned leader with more than 10 years of experience in business focusing on real estate and finance, Gabe Weinert has served as a Senior Vice President of Carlton Group in Los Angeles since 2010. In this role, Gabe Weinert oversees the origination, valuation, and structuring of more than $200 million in private equity acquisitions in the alternative energy and real estate sectors. Additionally, he handles more than $500 million of distressed residential mortgage-backed security (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed security (CMBS), and whole-loan sales. In the course of his employment with Carlton Group, Gabe Weinert has worked on a wide range of major transactions, including deals with 300 Riverside, AB Capital Loan Sale, and 3 Phases Biomass Development. As an undergraduate, Gabe Weinert attended the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate in May 1999. During his time at the University of Michigan, Gabe Weinert belonged to a number of campus groups, including serving as Vice President of Finance for the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and as a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. As a senior, he wrote a thesis dealing with land valuation under the guidance of the Chairman of the Ross School of Business’ Real Estate department. In addition to his BBA, Gabe Weinert earned a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in March 2005. While there, Gabe Weinert volunteered as a mentor to high school students interested in careers in business. He also advised The Ratkovich Company on raising $200 million. Gabe Weinert is currently working to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and already holds his Series 7 license, the most comprehensive of several securities licenses administered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
