Gabrielle Mary Sivage has lived throughout the U.S. and London. She enjoyed an early start to career life and diverse roles in grants management, transportation, performance based budgeting, communications, social policy, research, analysis and more working for social policy entities and transportation agencies. Gabrielle has lived in Washington, DC on and off betweenFebruary 2002 and summer 2011. Wanting to do much more than focus on work she relishes the great outdoors and getting out of town – although it’s been some time. She’s now back out west living in Seattle, WA and seeking new work opportunities.

Gabrielle has done volunteer academic mentoring for students and job mentoring for unemployed adults. She served in government consulting from July 2011 to June 2007 and worked in the government and non-profit sectors since 2000. She considers herself very lucky since growing up in foster care and is thankful for the character, focus, morals, and empathy it built in her.

As Gabrielle balances her community work, career and social interests she is learning that life is a tricky juggling act and is excited to see what the next decade brings.

In former times Gabrielle was known only as Mary Sivage, though she restored her first name she still uses her former adoptive parents’ last name. Gabrielle hopes to see additional reforms for enhancing opportunities, protections and healthcare access for foster children and wards of the state.
