Before becoming a Teaching Assistant, George Anthony Hruneni served the State of Virginia for 22 years. George Anthony Hruneni was the Manager of the Archives and Records division of the Department of Cable Communications in Fairfax County, Virginia. In addition to overseeing the operations of the largest local public records program in the state, George Anthony Hruneni provided daily document storage, retrieval, and certification. In 2002, George Anthony Hruneni transitioned to education, substitute teaching in the Anne Arundel County Schools. In 2003, George Anthony Hruneni received a grant to become an Instructional Assistant at the district’s Ruth Parker Eason Center and first began his involvement with students with physical, mental, and verbal disabilities. Over the next six years, George Anthony Hruneni dedicated himself to assisting learning disabled children, taking positions as a Student Assistant at Hammond Middle School in Laurel, Maryland, and as an Instructional Assistant at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Maryland, and Cedar Lane School in Fulton, Maryland. At the moment, George Anthony Hruneni works one-on-one and in small groups with learning disabled teenagers at Marriotts Ridge High School in Marriottsville, Maryland. George Anthony Hruneni remains dedicated to his profession, striving to ensure the accomplishments of his students. An alumnus of Santa Clara University, George Anthony Hruneni received a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara and has studied digital technology as a post-graduate student. A number of hobbies have kept George Anthony Hruneni occupied outside of his professional pursuits. A passionate traveler and a talented cook, George Anthony Hruneni also takes pleasure in collecting antiques. In addition, George Anthony Hruneni enjoys the works of Ayn Rand and Charles Dickens.
