They also can perform facial plastic surgery procedures including lip surgery, nose reshaping, brow lift, blepharoplasty, and general facelifts, as well as facial and neck liposuction, chin implantation, and belt lipectomies. Dr. Commons possesses board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In the past, Dr. Commons has served on the medical staff at several Bay Area hospitals, including the El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, and Menlo Park Surgical Hospital. Since 1976, Dr. George Commons has trained future generations of plastic surgeons through his work as one of the faculty at Stanford Hospital & Clinics in Stanford, California. In his current position as Associate Professor, Dr. Commons is responsible for teaching plastic surgery techniques to seventh-year chief residents. During his time in the United States Air Force, Dr. Commons treated U.S. military personnel and numerous Filipino children at Clark Air Base in the Philippines. Dr. George Commons received his medical degree in 1968 from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he finished in the top ten percent of his class.
