Geraldine Semeghini was born in a small tourist city in Northern Italy on the Austrian border in the heart of the Alps. Because the area previously belonged to Austria, Geraldine Semeghini’s hometown was culturally split. Growing up in a bilingual environment, Geraldine Semeghini quickly learned how to interact with people from different cultures and mediate between them. Geraldine Semeghini also became skilled at acquiring new languages. Today, Geraldine Semeghini is proficient in Italian, German, English, and French. Gaining first-hand experience with tourism at a young age, Geraldine Semeghini supplemented her study of languages with a special project on tourism management in high school. In 1998, Geraldine Semeghini moved to Venice to pursue a degree in tourism management and economics, securing one of the 60 seats at the Università Ca’ Foscari’s program out of over 1,000 applicants. During her college years, Geraldine Semeghini pursued her interest in international relations through participation in a six-month program at a German university and another program at a Spanish university for a month. Geraldine Semeghini additionally traveled throughout Europe independently on money that she earned as a model, translator, and hostess. After her graduation, Geraldine Semeghini planned to pursue a Master’s degree but instead accepted an offer at an exciting startup called H3G Italy, the first Universal Mobile Telecommunications System phone operator in the world.

After quickly moving up through the company, Geraldine Semeghini decided to establish her own company, Chic Communication, in 2005. In the past four years, Chic Communication has proven a successful endeavor under Geraldine Semeghini’s international public relations expertise. Chic Communication focuses on event organization, including road shows, in-store promotions, and new product presentations, among other press and media services. Geraldine Semeghini has already worked for a number of impressive clients, including the Billionaires Club and Heineken.
