GIC Argentina: The largest study abroad program in the country.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

A Review of GIC Argentina and Its Successful Track Record For the past 10 years, GIC Argentina has been providing work and study abroad experiences for college students and graduates around the world. As the top-rated program in its country, GIC Argentina provides academic, work, internship, and volunteer opportunities every semester, as well as during summer and winter breaks. GIC Argentina program participants can study Spanish language courses at one of five top Argentinean universities, actively engage in local culture, and take weekend trips to other parts of the country, such as the wine region of Mendoza, or the lake district and outdoor sports capital, Bariloche. Participants can also choose between living in upscale student residences, shared and non-shared apartments, and welcoming home-stays. GIC Argentina also offers 20 add-on short courses like wine tasting, photography, tango and salsa dancing classes, yoga, and scuba diving certification. In addition to its academic program, GIC Argentina provides internship opportunities to participants with advanced levels of Spanish. Interns are placed with host companies in the areas of Sales and Marketing, Hospitality and Tourism, Information Technology, Media, Nonprofits, and many other areas, for one to four months as a first step towards their international careers. GIC Program participants can also choose to volunteer. Volunteers also garner exciting opportunities at both the local and national level. Participants can coach an amateur athletic team, prepare and serve food at a soup kitchen, teach computer or other academic skills, or assist on projects with non-governmental organizations. And best of all, most of the volunteering positions are free! GIC Argentina also grants scholarships to select students during the semester and summer programs.
