Gonzalo Fontela

Gonzalo, a native of Argentina, moved to the United States at the age of 17 to major in Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York Tech, where he received an academic as well as an athletic scholarship. Upon graduation he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to work as an engineer for AT&T. During this time he developed models that quickly identified issues in AT&T’s 3G network and later worked on financial models that would represent significant cost savings for the company. His interest in finance led him to enroll at Vanderbilt University’s MBA program, where he specialized in Finance & Accounting. Today, Gonzalo works as a Client Manager in the commercial bank at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, serving general industry middle market companies. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, enjoys traveling, extreme sports and developing trading and investing strategies during his spare time. Gonzalo is currently working toward the CFA designation.
