Possessing both financial and legal expertise, Greg Shanaphy serves on a wealth advisement team named one of Barron’s Top 100 Financial Advisors from 2009 through 2011. As Vice President of Investments for The Poppo Group within the UBS Portfolio Management Program in New York, he coordinates insurance and estate planning for the branch and acts as Senior Portfolio Manager. In addition to holding a law degree, Mr. Shanaphy has earned UBS’ prestigious Wealth Advisor designation.

A graduate of Montclair State University in New Jersey, where he received a B.A. in Political Science, Greg Shanaphy also studied at the University of Siena in Italy. He earned his J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey and subsequently obtained professional licensing in life and health insurance. In addition, Mr. Shanaphy holds Series 7, 24, 31, 63, and 66 FINRA licenses. Admitted to practice before the Bar of New Jersey and the United States District Court, he maintains memberships in the American Bar Association, the Irish American Bar Association of New York, and the Irish Business Organization of New York Inc.

Greg Shanaphy previously practiced law for nine years, first in the office of a District Attorney, then at a private practice and for an investment bank on Wall Street. At Merrill Lynch Global Private Client Group, he served as a Private Wealth Manager. Mr. Shanaphy also accepted a post at AXA Advisors, LLC, as a Financial Advisor. In this capacity, he focused on estate and financial planning for high-net worth individuals.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Greg Shanaphy remains active in charitable service. A founder and board member of educational organization the Vincent Falzo Foundation, he also sits on the board of White Box, a nonprofit art gallery. Additionally, Mr. Shanaphy belongs to a number of alumni associations and supports the Nazareth Village Priest Retirement Building Fund, Little Sisters of Assumption Family Health Service, and Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk. A health enthusiast who lifts weights and plays golf in his free time, Greg Shanaphy resides in New York, New York, with his family.
