He has handled nearly every aspect of agribusiness in the United States and abroad. This experience includes strategic planning, acquisitions, company restructuring, management development, and market assessments. Mr. Vaut functions as a trusted adviser in international agricultural development in the United States, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe. With over 40 years of experience working in emerging agricultural markets, Greg Vaut currently serves as Senior Adviser to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development in Pristina, Kosovo. While working with the West Africa Regional Mission for USAID in Ghana, Greg Vaut aided in the development of alliances between USAID and the private sector in 24 countries in West and Central Africa. He served bilateral and multilateral donors, the Economic Community of West African States, philanthropic organizations, and educational institutions. As Chief Executive Officer for the Foundation for the Development of Polish Agriculture in Warsaw, Poland, Mr. Vaut completed a high-profile assignment for the eminent International Advisery Council. He was charged with establishing a nongovernmental organization for the promotion of private sector agribusiness and leading it through the political and economic transformations of the post-Communist era. Greg Vaut has also served as an adviser to the Prime Minister of Turkey, rewriting laws to permit private sector participation in the seed industry. Greg Vaut also has a great deal of experience in the private sector. He has served as CEO of Hortex Holding, S.A., and of a meat processing company in Poland.
