Prior to beginning his career in finance, Gregg Colburn earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management from Albion College in Albion, Michigan. Gregg Colburn has continued to stay involved in Albion College and has served as a member of the college’s Gerstacker Institute Visiting Committee for the last eight years. In 2003, Gregg Colburn earned his Master of Business Administration from the J. L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, based in Evanston, Illinois. While at Kellogg, Gregg Colburn majored in Strategy and Finance. After graduating from Albion College, Gregg Colburn began his professional career with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York. At Goldman Sachs, Gregg Colburn served as an analyst in the investment banking division focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Gregg Colburn moved from New York to Chicago while working for Goldman Sachs. Gregg Colburn continued his career in Chicago working at private equity firm Frontenac Company. Following his time with Frontenac, Gregg Colburn was employed at Citadel Investment Group for five years. At Citadel Investment Group, Gregg Colburn was a member of the firm’s Private Investments strategy. After leaving Citadel Investment Group in 2004, Gregg Colburn teamed up with seven colleagues to found Interlachen Capital Group. Gregg Colburn serves as a Partner at Interlachen Capital Group and oversees the firm’s Private Investments strategy. Gregg Colburn has recently served on the Board of Directors of Universal Safety Response Inc. and has served as a board member of a number of non-profit organizations. Gregg Colburn currently serves as a member of both the Council and Executive Committee of Normandale Lutheran Church. Gregg Colburn and his wife are also members of the Board of Governors of Opportunity International.
