A native of the Philippines, businessman Guido Delgado has contributed significantly to the energy and financial sectors; currently, he acts as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of his own company, G.A.A. Delgado Inc. (GAAD). In addition to his duties at his business, Mr. Delgado serves a host of other companies in various roles. He is currently a guest lecturer/researcher at the University of Navarre in Pamplona, Spain, where he lectures on Finance,Policy, and Ethics.

In the 1990s, Guido Delgado won the Philippine Jaycees’ Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines award, given to those individuals under the age of 40 in recognition of notable achievements in their field. Prior to that, Mr. Delgado earned designation as Most Outstanding Alumnus at the University of the Philippines’ College of Economics and Management. Guido Delgado gained further honors with the Drs. Jess & Trining de la Paz Award from the Ateneo de Davao University, presented by the Jesuits to those who exhibit outstanding work in their profession and show a commitment to community development. In addition, he won the Chamber of Kassel, Germany’s Golden Badge of Honor in recognition of his creation and implementation of a self-administered trade system in Cagayan de Oro, the Philippines.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Guido Delgado has served a number of different organizations that promote education and business opportunities in the Philippines. He acts as a Member of the Board for PAREF Northfield School for boys, an exclusive institution set up by the Parents for Education Foundation, Inc. Guido Delgado founded and acts as Chairman of the Board for RISE Foundation, Inc., a venture capital fund that supports developing business opportunities in the Philippines. From 1991 to 1997, he served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Philippines’ Xavier University, a Jesuit-run Catholic institution. Additionally, Guido Delgado provided leadership to the business community by functioning as President of the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and he assumed the role of statesman for the organization as its Honorary Chairman. He acted as Co-Chairman for the Regional Development Council, a member of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council, Chairman of the Regional Private Advisory Council for Training in Cagayan de Oro City, and Chairman of the Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council for Region X in Cagayan de Oro.
