In prior lives, Guru lead corporate development and management consulting teams at APT, a Washington, D.C.-based software company championing a Test & Learn capability within Fortune 500 corporations.

He honed his hobby of calculating HHIs while prosecuting patent ambush cases with the Federal Trade Commission.

Guru earned a BA with Highest Distinction in Economics and the Program in Political & Social Thought from the University of Virginia in 2004, where he was a Jefferson Scholar
