Hal Crabb III is an oil industry professional with three decades of experience in reservoir engineering, completions, production, and operations. Mr. Crabb’s experience is primarily within Texas and New Mexico’s Permian Basin, with past assignments extending to Corpus Christi and Tyler, Texas. His current responsibilities as Senior Production Engineer with Americo Energy Resources, LLC, involve oversight of ongoing oil production and reactivation of reserves bypassed by previous operators. In addition to supervision of East Shugart Unit production in Eddy County, Hal Crabb III leads work on the Coleman Ranch Unit in Mitchell County, Texas. Wells in this shallow Clearfork Waterflood unit frequently require fracture treatment in tandem with overhauling and expansion. In coordination with a field production foreman, he is also involved in an injection well cleanout program, and in instituting improvements to the chemical program.

Prior to entering the oil business as Production Engineer with Texaco, Inc., Mr. Crabb completed a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. He earned promotion to a position as Reservoir Engineer with the firm’s Midland District Office, performing oil and gas reserves documentation, and evaluating redrill prospects. He also gained experience in water-coning issues associated with deep gas wells, utilizing log and decline curve analysis in technical assessments. From 1981 to 1989, Hal Crabb III held a position as Production and Reservoir Engineer with BHP Petroleum Inc., focusing on primary, secondary, and deep gas well production. He also gained valuable operational experience through volunteer workovers in the field. Mr. Crabb testified on numerous occasions at contested and uncontested regulatory hearings in Texas and New Mexico, never losing a hearing.

From 1991 to 2009 Hal Crabb III worked in various capacities with EOG Resources, Inc.’s Midland Division, starting as Project Production Engineer. He was promoted to Production Engineering Specialist in 2000, responsible for oversight of a 50-project workover program. In the years prior to joining Americo Energy Resources, LLC, Mr. Crabb served as Production Engineering Advisor. He continued to oversee the workover program, additionally offering younger interns and engineers mentoring assistance. Hal Crabb III holds affiliation with a number of professional organizations, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Chemical Engineers.
