Hans-Christer Holgersson has traveled across the world in service of the Scania Group. From Brazil and Argentina to Spain and Sweden, Holgersson has headed up an international set of financial departments for the commercial vehicle manufacturer.

In his latest career move, Han-Christer Holgersson has found himself in Great Britain, running Scania’s activities as Managing Director of the company’s United Kingdom branches.

Han-Christer Holgersson’s career with Scania began in 1985 when he became Manger of Financial Planning and Control for Scania Brazil. Holgersson enjoyed great success with Scania, serving a variety of roles for the firm during 23 years of dedicated service. Hans-Christer Holgersson served as Group Vice President of Scania CV AB from 2006 to 2007, Director of the Scania Group Executive Board from 2006 to 2007 and both President and CEO of Scania Latin America from 2002 to 2006.

Holgersson’s work was greatly admired within the company, and he was honored as Most Admired Business Leader in Brazil’s Automotive Industry through an award delivered by Autodata and Carta Capital in 2005.

Since entering the UK for his new position with Scania, Holgersson has also become Director of the United Kingdom’s Swedish Chamber of Commerce Council. Holgersson has plenty of experience serving on Swedish chambers’ of commerce, he was Director of the Council of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Brazil from 2002 to 2006 and Chairman of the Council of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Argentina from 2001 to 2002.

Hans-Christer Holgersson earned his master’s in business from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1975, laying the foundation for his future success at Scania.
