Hisham Mushasha’s career as a finance executive has spanned several of the largest consumer brands in the world and operations in Europe, Africa, North America, and the Middle East.
A widely traveled and seasoned finance executive, Hisham Mushasha has held positions in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. Hisham Mushasha brings over two decades of experience in sound financial management to his work at BCCI Construction Company, a top commercial contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hisham Mushasha began his career in the United Kingdom, working for two regional construction supply firms before accepting a cost analyst position at Procter & Gamble. Rising to the rank of Senior Financial Analyst within two years and Group Manager for Forecasting and Treasury shortly thereafter, Hisham Mushasha collaborated with the corporation’s marketing, human resources, and research and development branches in order to develop financial strategies. Subsequently, Hisham Mushasha accepted a position at PepsiCo, where he served first as the Director of Strategy for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and then as the Country Manager for the United Arab Emirates. Following demographic research, Hisham Mushasha expanded the company’s distribution into the Persian Gulf states, capturing 40 percent of United Arab Emirates market share within one year of operation. Hisham Mushasha also developed green-field and acquisition investment strategies for PepsiCo. In 1999, Hisham Mushasha joined Brightmail, Inc., a San Francisco-based anti-spam software company that was eventually acquired by Symantec. Hisham Mushasha held the position of Finance Consultant, managing all the finance and accounting functions. Hisham Mushasha introduced QuickBooks accounting to the company and updated all its financial records; he also conducted a two-year audit and instigated internal financial policies. Following this role, Hisham Mushasha accepted the post of Vice President of Finance at Esprit de Corp. in San Francisco. In addition to performing duties similar to those at Brightmail, Hisham Mushasha managed and developed seven direct reports, oversaw financial system upgrades, and prepared monthly financial statements for senior management and the company’s board. After returning to school to complete his Master of Business Administration, Hisham Mushasha joined BCCI Construction in 2007. An avid traveler, Hisham Mushasha has been to 35 countries for business or leisure.
