Los Angeles native Isaac Winehouse always dreamed of owning his own restaurant. Throughout high school in the San Fernando Valley and college at Loyola Marymount University, he became known for cooking elaborate gourmet meals for friends and family. After obtaining his bachelors degree in Business Administration, Winehouse took a job at the Los Angeles outpost of a large Madison Avenue Advertising Agency where he moved up the ranks for a decade before jumping ship to work for a national Cooking magazine. During this time, Isaac Winehouse met the woman he would marry and he and his wife Jackie had three sons. Winehouse was named West Coast Director of Sales for Cooking Magazine. By all accounts, he had reached a pinnacle in his career that few professionals his age had yet to reach. But still he dreamed about opening his restaurant. Then, one day, an old college friend approached him and asked him if hed noticed the gourmet food truck revolution happening on the streets of Los Angeles. Winehouse had, and conveniently had been working on a business plan to launch his own truck for some time. In August 2009, Winehouse rolled out his food truck specializing in farm fresh produce and Mediterranean influenced dishes. From perfectly roast chicken to a mushroom risotto Winehouse has been able to dole out five star meals for a fast food price point. Winehouses food truck was an immediate hit and within one year, he had a fleet of three trucks, each serving slightly different menus roaming the streets of Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley and Long Beach. With his background in advertising and sales, Winehouses base of business knowledge was perfectly primed to promote his burgeoning business. From a sound and innovative social media campaign to a website that allows users to not only track the locations of the trucks, but put in orders to be picked up, Winehouse made his Farm Fresh Mobile Feast trucks one of the hottest things to hit the food truck world since The Grilled Cheese truck took to the streets. Winehouse revamps the menu for each truck every month, and runs a vote for your favorite dishes contest where one month of the year the trucks serve a customer voted on menu of past dishes from their revolving menu. From salads to soups, sandwiches to salmon, pasta to pancetta; Winehouse hit Los Angeles right where their taste buds are. Quick stats
