Henderson, Nevada resident Dr. Ivan Mindlin is a well-known doctor who has worked in the orthopaedic field for many years. He began his own practice, Ivan Mindlin M.D. LTD in 1958, just a few short years after graduating from medical school. There he was senior attending orthopaedic surgeon. In this position, Ivan was responsible for many tasks. In addition to overseeing other physicians working in his practice, he was in charge of the full care and rehabilitation of his surgery patients. Mindlin continued his dedicated service and practiced with this company until December of 1990. Dr. Mindlin got his start in medicine at McGill University in September of 1947. At McGill, Mindlin studied biochemistry and physiology, and eventually earned honors in physiology. There he also was a member of the ski team. After attending McGill University for four years and graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Ivan then joined the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada as a medical student. He earned his medical degree in 1955. At the University of Manitoba, Mindlin was a member of the ski team, as well as the bridge club and chess club. Although Dr. Mindlin has dedicated much of his life to medicine and helping others, he also recognizes the importance in taking time for oneself and appreciating the more relaxing activities in life. One of his favorite pastimes is reading. Some authors he likes are Wittgenstein, Popper, and Lawrence Durrell and his favorite book is Alexandria Quartet. In addition to these pursuits, Dr. Mindlin also likes hiking, skiing, and auto racing. His interests include photography and, currently, learning about computerized trading.
