Jack Birdwhistell is a Religion Professor at Georgetown College, a small Baptist college in Central Kentucky. Jack attended college at Georgetown (A.B., 1968) and then obtained his M.Div (1971) and Ph.D. in Church History (1975) from Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY. After pastoring a church in Drakesboro, KY ,and authoring a couple of books on local church history, Jack and family moved to Georgetown, where he became the Campus Minister. After seventeen-plus years of service in that role, Jack moved on to teach New Testament and Church History, ultimately becoming a tenured professor in 2001.
