Equally skilled in analytics, strategic planning, and team building, Jamal Mickens has worked in operations, project management, sales and marketing, account management, and business development. Most recently, Jamal Mickens was Vice President of Premium Products, a division of Armstrong World Industries. Jamal Mickens increased the company’s sales and market share by forging strong relationships with national retailers and home builders, including The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Toll Brothers Homes and Richmond American Homes. A seasoned general manager, Jamal Mickens’ career includes work in Business Development, Strategic Account Management, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, Operations, Customer Service, Quality (Six Sigma), Project Management, and Product Management. Jamal Mickens is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Jamal Mickens will receive his Master of Business Administration from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in May 2010 and has completed additional coursework at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
