Dentist, James Stuart DentistryCharlotte, North CarolinaDr. James Stuart has kept his dental practice up-to-date with the latest technologies since he founded it in 1996. He has led the dental community in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his environmentally friendly methods, such as using digital X-rays and digital charting to minimize paper waste. In 2004, Dr. Stuart became certified in the use of Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics (CEREC), which allows him to design, create, and place ceramic fillings, crowns, and veneers in just one visit. Dr. James Stuart has used this advanced computer technology to restore more than 1,000 teeth since 2004. Dr. James Stuart traces his interest in dentistry to his time as a college student. As an undergraduate, he assisted Dr. Robert Kusy with researching dental ceramic brackets used in orthodontics. This work eventually enjoyed publication in the Journal of the American Ceramic Society in 1993. Dr. James Stuart earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he regularly participates in continuing education courses. He also belongs to the North Carolina Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. While Dr. James Stuart has run a successful dental practice for 15 years, he also makes time for several community service projects and personal hobbies. He maintains an active role in his church as a youth leader and youth program coordinator; these positions require him to plan safe and fun activities for middle school students. He also donates to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Salvation Army, and Operation Smile. Dr. James Stuart enjoys relaxing in his spare time with his wife and their two children.
