Senior executive Jamie Welsford began his career providing financial services to medical organizations in 1989. At that time, Jamie Welsford served as a Financial Analyst for Ottawa Hospital. Nearly 10 years later, Mr. Welsford had become the Chief Financial Officer for Almonte General Hospital. Today, he contributes as the Executive Director of the Greenbelt Family Health Team in Nepean, Ontario.

Mr. Welsford worked for four years with Ottawa Hospital before leaving to become the Director of Accounting Services for the Salvation Army Grace Hospital. Mr. Welsford spent the next five years overseeing financial information systems and managing the organization’s entire accounting cycle.

When Jamie Welsford became Chief Financial Officer at Almonte, he brought considerable change. His efforts proved vital in the negotiation of the Hospital’s acquisition of a 112-bed facility from Lanark County. He implemented a 100-user information technology infrastructure. He also brought the hospital substantial savings by facilitating projects in information technology and telecommunications.

A sports enthusiast, Jamie Welsford has worked with the Nepean Redskins Football Club, the Ottawa Senators AAA Hockey Association, the Ottawa United Soccer Club, and the East Nepean Little League Baseball Club. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, such as bicycling, skiing, fishing, golf, tennis, and running. In addition, he supports a number of charities, including the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association, and the United Way campaign for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
