Jason Chen is an Arnold P. Gold Research Fellow at the Yale Department of Anesthesiology. He has held this position for one year. During his fellowship year, he led business and clinical development efforts for an interdisciplinary team of Stanford and MIT engineers, MBAs, and physicians to develop a patent-pending wireless patient vital signs monitor that won first place in Yale’s 2007 Enterpreneurship Competition. Prior to working with Yale, he was employed by the National Institute of Health as a research fellow. He has also worked with the US Department of Commerce as an Information Technology specialist, a position he held for one year. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned a degree in Commerce and Cognitive Science in 2002. He also attended the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, from which he graduated in 2007.
