State Representative, Missouri House of Representatives
Jason Grill is currently an Associate at Holtsclaw & Kendall, LC, where he focuses his legal practice on representing individuals who have been injured in transportation-related incidents, including car and semi truck collisions and railroad-related accidents. Previously, Jason Grill worked as a partner in the Kansas City offices of The Grill Law Firm, LLC with his father, Brad Grill.
Jason Grill’s legal career is long in the making, going back to almost a decade ago when he was a Legal Document Clerk conducting file preparation for trial at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP near his home in Kansas City, Missouri. Jason Grill would return to clerking again in 2000 when he worked as a Legal Litigation Clerk, researching various file preparation for trial at Thompson Coburn LLP. His clerking experience proved useful to Jason Grill because it prepared him for a Summer Associate position in at McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips in Kansas City, where he prepared legal memoranda, motions, and opinions in various areas of the law.
Beyond his legal profession, Jason Grill is widely known for being the Representative of District 32 in the Missouri House of Representatives. Jason Grill represents over 35,000 people in the areas of Parkville, Riverside, Lake Waukomis, Platte Woods, Ferrelview, Houston Lake, and Kansas City, Missouri. Elected in November 2006, Jason Grill is the second youngest legislator in the state of Missouri, and the only freshman member of the minority party to sponsor and pass a bill in the Missouri House during the 2007 legislative session.
Aside from his legal and political undertakings, Jason Grill has displayed his academic knowledge by working as an Adjunct Professor at Park University’s School of Social Sciences, where he teaches Business Law I and II, Legal Analysis, Economics, and MBA Level Legal/Business Ethics to graduate and undergraduate students. Jason currently resides in Parkville, Missouri.

Jason Grill attended St. Pius X High School in Kansas City. While at St. Pius X High School, Jason became an Eagle Scout, earned three varsity letters in football, was captain of the football team his senior year, earned two varsity letters in basketball, and earned two varsity letters in tennis. He also played baseball his freshman year. Jason also was Student Council Vice President and a member of the National Honor Society. One of his most exciting accomplishments at St. Pius X was being named a Kansas City Star Scholar Athlete on Fathers day. He graduated in the top 10 of his class with a 3.83 grade point average.

The weekly magazine recognized the best attorneys in Missouri who are under the age of 39 and who represent determination in legal work and in community betterment in their July 28, 2008 issue. Grill, 28, is an attorney at the Kansas City law firm of Holtsclaw & Kendall, LC. He focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, commercial litigation, FELA, products liability, and transportation related matters. Out of the 48 individuals honored by Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2008, 14 specialize in litigation, 5 are minorities, 12 are women, 24 are from Kansas City, and 16 are from St. Louis. Prior to joining Holtsclaw & Kendall, LC, Grill practiced law with his father, Brad Grill, at the Grill Law Firm, LLC, after graduating with a Juris Doctor and an advanced certificate in dispute resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
