An established manager and talent consultant in the broadcasting industry, Jason Heath recruits key off-air and on-air talent and produces strong stories for McGraw-Hill Broadcasting. In the fast-paced world of media communications, Heath looks for broadcasting strategies that raise ratings and create loyal viewers, and he displays considerable leadership and decision-making expertise with McGraw-Hill. Working for one of the largest global information service providers, Jason Heath brings many years of broadcasting experience to his position. Heath takes control of both content and talent with his management and consultation position. Heath’s role is to review newscasts daily and recommend any changes to the program. Jason Heath assists in strategic decisions, including potential hires and station group purchases. Heath worked at WRTV with a team of 70, leveraging an $8 million budget. With content like the “On Your Side” segment, Heath’s news station is the number one broadcast news website in Indiana. Heath’s programming also won the 2006 Best Newscast in Indiana award from the Indiana Broadcasters Association and Indiana AP. Before working as a manager and talent consultant, Jason Heath acted as Assistant News Director for an NBC Universal station. Working with a large team, Heath was responsible for the success of daily news coverage, including local, live, and late-breaking news. Using investigative consumer stories as a platform, Heath was also in charge of creating the station’s sweeps programming calendar. Heath also worked for LIN Television as a News Director, launching an aggressive re-branding campaign after a network affiliation change. Heath increased demos for each newscast, establishing brand awareness, and launched and prepared the newsroom with “On Your Side” coverage. After graduating from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science in Radio and Television, Jason Heath worked as an Assistant News Director for Young Broadcasting, where Heath managed a large newsroom and planned the sweeps calendar. In 2002, Heath won the Edward R. Murrow Regional Award for Spot News Coverage. Today, Jason Heath’s roles as manager and talent consultant make up almost a decade of broadcasting experience.
