Jason Shah is a social entrepreneur originally from Edison, NJ. After moving to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 2004 at the age of 14, he discovered the power of entrepreneurship. By the time he graduated high school he was inspired by his sister and Teach for America to help disadvantaged students get into college. From there he brainstormed a scalable solution at a sensible intervention point and started INeedAPencil.com to maximize access to higher education.

Shah will graduate from Harvard University in 2011 with a concentration in Sociology.
