Johns Hopkins alumna Jaya Vadlamudi currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues to develop her successful marketing career following eight years of experience in New York. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations in 1999, Jaya Vadlamudi joined investment management company Morgan Stanley Dean Witter as a Marketing Associate. She assisted in the improvement of the company website and created brochures and newsletters for prospective and existing clients. Jaya Vadlamudi went on to become Marketing Manager with New York auction house Sotheby’s, developing marketing plans for over 15 departments. Through her efforts in print advertising and event marketing, Vadlamudi aided in the sale of numerous collections and art pieces, including a $28.5 million painting and works by Picasso and Warhol. Jaya Vadlamudi’s internal responsibilities also included coordinating promotional layout with the design team, resulting in effective marketing materials to attract clients. In 2005, Jaya Vadlamudi enrolled in New York University to become certified in Integrated Marketing Communications. Jaya Vadlamudi served as Senior Marketing Manager with New York-based travel publishing company Zagat Survey. Vadlamudi developed and implemented integrated proposals to attain business-to-business goals. Vadlamudi’s efforts aided the company in achieving over 100% of targeted revenue goals in 2007 and resulted in ongoing partnerships with brands including the Time Warner Center, First Republic Bank, and Acura. Her education and professional success enabled Vadlamudi to relocate to California, where she currently serves as Senior Communications Officer for non-profit, humanitarian relief organization International Medical Corps headquartered in Los Angeles. In addition to executing marketing and communications activities across channels, including web, email, partnerships and social media, Jaya Vadlamudi also implements public relations efforts, including pitching news media, writing, editing, proofreading and disseminating press releases, articles, blogs and videos. In her leisure time, Jaya Vadlamudi volunteers with the Midnight Mission Housing Project in Inglewood and is pursuing an advanced degree in photography.
