Dr. Jeff LaBorg is Senior Pastor at Second Baptist Church, one of the most prominent congregations in the country. Unanimously selected for his role in 2007, Dr. Jeff LaBorg excels at inspiring the faithful and overseeing the growth of his church, building on a precedent he has established over the last decade and a half.

At Second Baptist Church, Dr. Jeff LaBorg now preaches to a congregation of more than 1,800. Dr. Jeff LaBorg has attracted more than 700 new members to Second Baptist Church and initiated land acquisitions and building plans; in addition to tending to church members, Dr. Jeff LaBorg leads 6 Associate Pastors and a support staff of more than 20. Under Dr. Jeff LaBorg’s leadership, the organization now ranks in the top 100 of all Southern Baptist Churches in the country for evangelism.

Prior to coming to Second Baptist Church, Dr. Jeff LaBorg was Senior Pastor at College Heights Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee, where he more than doubled the number of church members in only two years. By the time Dr. Jeff LaBorg transitioned to Second Baptist Church, College Heights Baptist Church was ranked among the top 100 Southern Baptist Churches in the nation. Dr. Jeff LaBorg also answered the call to serve at Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee, from 1993 to 2005.

Dr. Jeff LaBorg holds an Associate’s degree in Biblical Studies, a Master’s in Pastoral Leadership, and a Doctorate of Divinity. At present, Dr. Jeff LaBorg is a candidate for a Master’s in Advanced Prophetics at Louisiana Baptist University. Over his long career, Jeff LaBorg has earned considerable recognition, including the Charles Haddon Spurgeon Award from Southern Seminary for Prayer and Spiritual Awakening.
