Jeff Tietz is an award-winning writer with dozens of nationally published articles to his credit. Currently based in Austin, Texas, Jeff Tietz has contributed to the pages of Harper’s Magazine, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, and Triquarterly, among others. Several of Jeff Tietz’s stories have been republished and can be found in Best American Magazine Writing 2003, Best American Crime Writing 2003, and Best American Crime Writing 2005.

Jeff Tietz holds an MFA in writing from Columbia University. While there, Jeff Tietz received a Writing Division Fellowship and a National Arts Club Fellowship. Prior to enrolling at Columbia University, Jeff Tietz received his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. In his senior year at UT Austin, Jeff Tietz received both Marshall and Rhodes Scholarship invitations and joined the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He graduated with high honors.
