Jeffrey Sorota is a man with many passions. Among the many pastimes he engages in are tennis, hockey, lacrosse and sailing. His diverse group of activities keeps Mr. Sorota very busy, and he is constantly honing his skills. Keeping active is something Jeffrey Sorota believes in, and not only that, he lives it.

As much as he is an accomplished athlete, Jeffrey Sorota is a competent and experienced sailor. Sorota knows that sailing is an invigorating sport, and he has been an avid sailor that has visited many locations throughout the world. Every time Jeffrey Sorota arrives at a new port of call, he is carrying on an ancient tradition that goes back millennia. The technology he uses has been developed and refined over time and throughout the centuries for recreation, sustenance, warfare, and adventure.

Jeffrey Sorota grew up in Hilton Head, South Carolina. It was in and among the barrier islands that he not only learned to use the wind and sail, but also where he acquired a passion for fishing. The two pastimes have a way of complimenting each other, and Jeffrey Sorota has fished not only the Carolinas, but also the Florida Keys, Puerto Rico, and numerous lakes and rivers around the world. If there is an opportunity to sail and a chance to catch fish, Jeffrey Sorota will make his best effort to get on the water.

Jeffrey Sorota has distinguished himself as a true sportsman. He has hunted deer and duck in the Midwestern American states, Canada, and Eastern Europe. During his ventures, he has also been able to learn and perfect his mountain climbing/trekking skills in the Rocky Mountains, Washington State, and The Carolinas.

Founded in 1946 by the United Nations, UNICEF develops and implements programs dedicated to the promotion of child survival and development, education, gender equality, disease prevention and treatment, and child protection, among other vital programs. Armed with the knowledge that at least 10 million children die needlessly each year by preventable deaths, UNICEF exists to ensure that children receive the opportunities that they deserve. Jeffrey Sorota supports UNICEF not only to protect today’s children, but also to safeguard tomorrow’s future, as poverty reduction starts with children. Jeffrey Sorota is the recipient of a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Florida, an accomplished sailor, and a former caretaker of farm and domestic animals. Mr. Jeffrey Sorota resided in and worked for a number of years on a farm in Argentina, where he was responsible for the health and well being of horses and pigs. A great outdoor enthusiast, Jeffrey Sorota regularly partakes in transnational and bicoastal outings for the purposes of hunting, trekking, climbing, and fishing. Jeffrey Sorota can often be found in the Midwestern region of the United States during duck and deer hunting seasons, and he has been known to travel as far as Eastern Europe and Canada for climbing and other outdoor expeditions. Today, Jeffrey Sorota resides in Maine, but he still travels to the exceptional fishing opportunities provided by Florida waterways, rivers, lakes, and the surrounding ocean.
