Jenifer deWolf Paine is as Senior Counsel at Proskauer where she focuses her practice on the areas of false advertising and trademark.

In 2000, she represented the recording artist Madonna in getting back the domain name Madonna.com from a cybersquatter in one of the first domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy. In 2007, she assisted Accor in its $1.32 billion sale of Red Roof Inn. She has performed copyright due diligence in connection with the potential acquisition of major music publishing catalogs on several occasions. She has represented the recording artists Tommy Lee and Sean “Puffy” Combs in connection with trademark lawsuits.

Jenifer is a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the American Bar Association, the Trademark & Unfair Competition Committee of the New York City Bar Association, the Copyright Society of the United States of America and the International Trademark Association.

Jenifer received her B.A. from Boston University in 1990 and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1994. She has been admitted to practice in New York, California and Massachusetts, and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the District of Massachusetts, as well as the United States Court of Federal Claims.
