Demonstrating a wide range of professional skills, Mr. Jesse G. Masek is experienced in retail sales, office management, tourism and hospitality, and accounting. Currently, Jesse Masek is actively seeking an entry-level position in the field of accounting while he prepares for the Massachusetts Certified Public Accountant exam.

Prior to qualifying for the CPA exam, Jesse Masek attained his Graduate Certificate in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Jesse Masek began his career as a soldier in the United States Marine Corps. Based out of Cherry Point, North Carolina, Jesse Masek served as a Flight Line Crew Chief, earning a number of distinctions for his service and professional conduct. While in the USMC, Jesse Masek attended Cape Fear Community College, receiving his Associate degree. Upon leaving the USMC, Jesse Masek began working for Martha’s Vineyard Ocean Sports, LLC, where he was responsible for managing the daily operations of the company, including renting equipment, maintaining relationships with local hotel and tourism companies, and adhering to all safety regulations. Over the next two years, Jesse Masek attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he studied Business Administration.

Upon earning his Bachelor’s degree, Jesse Masek returned to the tourism industry, becoming a crewmember and captain of two Hawaii-based charter boating endeavors West Maui Parasail and the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. For West Maui Parasail, Jesse Masek piloted a 28’ Nordic Parasail Winchboat. While working for the Hyatt Regency, Jesse Masek captained a 54’ catamaran. From Hawaii, Jesse Masek returned to Massachusetts, where he served in the dual roles of Office Manager and Sales Representative for Martha’s Vineyard Hardwood Floors, Inc. Jesse Masek also served a short stint as the Front Desk Agent for the Clarion Hotel in Edgartown, MA.

In his spare time, Jesse Masek enjoys staying active, weightlifting, running, surfing, and hiking. An avid reader, Jesse Masek cites the works of inventor, entrepreneur, and futurist Ray Kurzweil as his personal favorites.
