During Jessica McDonald’s tenure with the Government of British Columbia, the BC Public Service evolved into a results-driven organization which places a high value on employee engagement. Jessica McDonald transformed the BC Public Service into one of the province’s most lauded employers; the agency was selected for BC’s Top 50 Employers, Canada’s Top 100 Employers, Canada’s 30 Greenest Employers and Canada’s Top 25 Family Friendly Employers. Jessica McDonald holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, where she focused on constitutional law and public administration during her studies. Upon her graduation, Jessica McDonald was selected for the university’s Legislative Internship Program and entered her public sector career in 1991. A recognized innovator, Jessica McDonald has received the IPAC/Deloitte National Gold Award for Public Sector Leadership and has been named to the list of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and to Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women Hall of Fame. Recently, Jessica McDonald transitioned to the private sector and accepted a position with HB Global Advisors Corp., the consulting arm of Heenan Blaikie LLP.
