For over 8 years, Dr. Joe Kenan has provided psychiatric evaluations of children and adults for custody cases as well as civil and criminal cases. Joseph Kenan also operates as an Associate at Park Dietz & Associates, Inc., in Newport Beach, California. Park Dietz & Associates is a consulting firm comprised of an over 30-member team specializing in forensic litigation. In addition to his services in the private sector, Dr. Joe Kenan also works at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as Chief Forensic Psychiatrist for the Psychological Trauma Center and teaches at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He splits his focus on cases for custody and high conflict divorce and legal issues in child psychiatry. Joseph Kenan also teaches at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. A board-certified forensic psychiatrist, Joseph Kenan graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Biology. In 1993, Dr. Joe Kenan attended University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1997. He completed his internship in psychiatry at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. From 1998 to 2000, Joseph Kenan finished residencies in psychiatry at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center respectively. Dr. Joseph Kenan was then invited to serve as a fellow for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai. From 2002 to 2003, he took on a second fellowship for the Division of Forensic Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA.
