John Cicotte attended Sonoma State University to pursue studies in international economics, focusing specifically on Latin America and Asia. He left before graduating to focus on his successful new business enterprise. His entrepreneurial efforts that began at age five when he opened John’s Lemonade Stand in Detroit, Michigan. Business has been a passion ever since. Mr. Cicotte has since pursued opportunities in technology and nutrition. In operations management and direct sales, he has brought his talents to several companies based in the San Francisco Bay Area and overseas. As Chief Operating Officer for a Silicon valley-based voice over internet telecommunications firm, John Cicotte leveraged his management skills with his knowledge of Asian markets to provide insight on planning the company’s strategic direction. Mr. Cicotte also grew the company’s talent pool with thoughtful and career-driven hires and often played the role of mentor to his Philippines-based employees. He is currently working for 8×8, Inc., as a Business Solutions Manager, where he plays multiple roles with companies seeking voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) and telecommunications solutions in the United States and overseas. In line with his efforts to expand 8×8 telecommunications markets overseas, John Cicotte has served on the Board of Directors for California Technological Care, Inc. This nonprofit organization assists in eliminating information technology poverty overseas in Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
