Artist and musician John Kaywell has had a successful career in the arts and the financial industry.Professional guitarist, singer, and songwriter John Kaywell has studied Arranging and Composition at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. After graduating from school in 1974, the ambitious young musician played in his own band, Kaywell Bros. Band. John Kaywell and the band performed throughout the eastern seaboard before finally moving to Los Angeles in 1978, where they continued to play until 1981. During his early career, John Kaywell was also a guitarist for the band Mr. Mister, which became well known for their album “Broken Wings.” After leaving the band, John Kaywell took a job at Smith Barney, where he would eventually rise to the position of Vice President. On the side, however, he continued to make music and hone his artistic craft. Besides studying with the revered guitarist Ted Greene from 1997 until 2001, John Kaywell collaborated with his brother on “Above the Clouds,” an album of spiritual music. At present, John Kaywell is again collaborating with his brother Jerry, this time on a rock and roll album they call, “The Kaywells…Fathers and Brothers.” After making his debut in 2010 as a solo artist, John Kaywell has been playing at 264 The Grill, where he can be found every Thursday from 8:00 to 10:30 in the evening. In his free time, John Kaywell often volunteers at hospitals in his area to play guitar for the children there. He also enjoys experimenting with cooking different dishes and cuisines and reading the works of Nelson DeMille, Chelsea Cain, John Steinbeck, Ken Follett, and Peter James. John Kaywell's Schools
