Possessing an impeccable safety record, Norwell, Massachusetts, resident John Keaveney received Gold Awards for Safety Excellence that he earned on large, federally funded projects. In his position as Health and Safety Director of GBA Builders, LLC of Lenexa, Massachusetts, John Keaveney recently reached 247,000 injury-free man-hours on a multimillion dollar project. John Keaveney bears responsibility for safety operations at a billion-dollar life science and biopharmaceutical facility that Bristol-Myers Squibb is developing. John Keaveney’s accomplishments speak to his integrity and abilities as a health and safety manager. A former member of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Roundtable Committee, John Keaveney is the recipient of the OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs designation, which promotes worksite safety and health and recognizes the employers and employees who have executed effective workplace safety policies. John Keaveney holds his OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training certification. In the past, John Keaveney has contributed articles on workplace health and safety to Banker & Tradesman magazine and wrote the official health and safety manual for Boston-based firm Shawmut Design and Construction. John Keaveney has worked as Health and Safety Director of Shawmut, as well as Health and Safety Director of Cox Engineering Company of Canton, Massachusetts; Safety Manager of Modern Continental Construction Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts; and Safety Manager of J.F. White Contracting Co. of Framingham, Massachusetts. Outside of the office, John Keaveney spends time volunteering to serve meals as part of a homeless program and at Father Bills & MainSpring in Quincy, Massachusetts.
